I'm protected bcos I'm the Apple of His Eye...

Zech. 2:8 For this is what the LORD Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye

I was so drawn to this verse and led me to share this in the women fellowship together with the text in
Matthew 7:9-11
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Being a woman, we seem to have this ability call "Worry". We cannot stop worrying. Being a woman here is not easy. Woman can't stop thinking about their children. They will be worrying about what are the children doing? Are they being naughty? Are the teachers treating my child well? Is the househelper looking after the child???

Thousands of thousands of questions and worries ponder in the minds of women.

Moms here can't stay with their children 24hrs but Our Father can! Being adults, we will not be folding our arms and see the children walk into danger... so what more our Father who not only give good gifts but also protector of the apples of His eye.

As i share, I saw one of them started tearing...

I went on to say if we would change our worries to thanks giving wouldn't that acknowledge our Father who will be faithful and the protector of His children? Worrying would actually reflect on our doubts such as " I know better than my Father.... I know how to protect the children better than Father... I know what's best for the children than Father...."

I regret for not stepping in to minister to this sister instead, i handled the time over to the chair person of this fellowship.... something that needed to be taught how to be sensitive to the H.S and flow with Him......

I'm the Apple of His Eye... how about you?

Purpose of The Word

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New International Version)

16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Proverbs 4:20-23

20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.

21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man's whole body.

23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

As I read 2tim3:16-17, the word thoroughly caught my eye and i went into the meaning in Hebrew & greek....

3190 yatab - to be, make well

7495 rapha, to cure

I got so so excited and then when i was doing my devotion using proverbs, Prov4 speaks about the Word and shines the purpose of the Word.... they LIFE and Health.... WELLSPRING of Life.

I know not all accepts this teaching.... i believe in both spiritual & physical healing... do not ask me why some are not healed and so on so forth... I do not like to engage into this... I usual encourage people to taste the goodness of His Word and be open to what He will be doing and showing us to change... Here i use the word showing bcos the Holy SPirit is a gentleman. He does not forces us to change rather He shows and encourage us but is all up to us to make that very decision. Do not first think of how you can change or what you should do... rather the heart must make that very decision to allow the Holy Spirit to change... He will take good care of the rest of the steps.... just get the heart issues right first...

I just came back from a camp - Youth camp (theme: Be Ready)

The youths are were pure, eager, willing... that's the beginning of their change in their spiritual walk with the Father. I believed that the Holy SPirit is at work in the hearts of the youths and especially those who took that step of faith to come forward to say "I'm willing to commit to the work of the Father"

Look its not easy.... Jesus too struggled and prayed only thy will be done not his...

though is not easy, but in His time, you will see results and see fruits.... just persevere on my brothers and sisters in Christ especially those serving the Lord full time... Let's keep the Faith.

3weeks back, we went to a village and held a Praise festival. The location we went was where the main hyro project is... you see streetlights for the first time in this country... but just as we planned to start the praise, the electricity went off for 2.5hrs. It never happened to the villagers there but only when we were there... obviously it was a sabotage.

Imagine here with me... if this were to happen in Spore... Complaints, people walk off... the entire event is a Failure.... BUT these audience, they were very very patient with us... we manage to find a generator after 2.5 hrs of waiting and nothing is stopping us to praise our Father and have His word preached.... due to time, we had to cut some songs... the other bands didnt agreed to it except for HRC. I'm so proud and humbled too to be serving with HRC as their sound crew... It was an enjoyable trip to be going into villagers to bring praise in the mist of the ppl there.... kind of reminds me of Rev Tony who once shared about his praise team moving from town to town....

I'm hopping to get some rest before going on full-gear again for the cafe.... will update more on the cafe soon...

i juz need a little rest for now....

Back track to our trek...

Its been about 3 weeks since we came back from a trek. That also mean, 3 weeks of inhaling pollution, 3 weeks of the noise pollution on the roads and 3 weeks of uncertainties in the capital...

About the trek...
We had a great time knowing more about the culture and also interacting with the locals especially for Loong who has great opportunities to practice his language with the porter and guide.

The 1st day as we set off together with a family of 3, shortly leaving the valley, we were stuck. Not knowing for what reason at first we simply waited thinking it could be an accident or traffic jam...etc Afterwhich, we found out due to an accident earlier in the wee morning... the villagers called for a closure of the road.

We were on the bus for 5hours which means we could have reached our destination if not for the closure of the road. Not knowing what time will it open, our guide decided to get us out of the bus and walked to the other end of the closed road. It was an excellent moved.

We walked for 45mins and we hoped on a van and there we head to our 1st destination - Pokhara. Inbetween we stopped for a late lunch but we tried the river fish and its YUMMY....

Oh by the way, that's the very same day our dear Mr PM threw a resignation in due to a conflict... rumors of curfews or "bandha" but what the hack... we will not be disturbed bcos we are in the tourist area and up in the hills.....

Frankly, it was nice to be out of touch of the entire political issues besides all the different pollution.... Nice to be in the mist of the beautiful hills that My Father has created and set them in place...

Each day was about 5-7hrs track... everytime when we reached each tea lodge, we could see no view of the majestic mountain views due to the clouds... and there will be drizzles too... BUT... bcos of the rain, the very next morning greets us with the majestic view of the snow capped mountain ranges....

Our main destination is to reach PoonHill, 3210m above sea-level. The air was thin that morning and the cold wind blows... makes us want to give up to reached the peak but we persevered on. (we woke up 4plus to see the sunrise)

I really would like to try going up to ABC - Annapurna Base Camp... but i'm not too sure if loong will want to hahahhaah

Our own candlelight dinner...

I can trust Him for all my needs...even shoes

Today was watching G.TV and this guy shared about the lilies and birds are all taken care of... and how he was bless with a pair of shoes...

Indeed, I too can testify of that too...

Last yr, I wanted to get a pair of gd shoes -hiking shoes, so will be easier for me when i head up to the villages as I only had a pair of free-shoes from SAF - (brooks)... so i wore that day-in and day-out... and when monsoon hits last yr, I only had that pair of shoes. Wet shoes i was wearing everyday.... so uncomfortable as u know...

And just before monsoon hits real bad here, someone from Spore, bless me with a nice water-proof hiking shoes. Indeed He knows wat i need most...

And when my sis went to H.K, she too knew that i need a pair of gd shoes since i walked alot and is important for me to wear one.... she too bought me one....

I feel so bless and loved by people who bless me and of course the ultimate Giver...

I reflected on this, and indeed i'm here to live a life different for Him and to deliver a msg to the people here... there is this word that rings in me

"How beautiful are the feet of those...."

I know i'm taken care of by Him  and blessing me with shoes juz makes me want to walk extra miles just to deliver that msg i experienced!

Who can be against us if He is for us?

We hit the road at about 545 and arrived at 1100am just in time for service...

After service, held a baptism at the riverside for 1 high caste youth who was told by his parents that he is not allowed to touch their bodies when they died bcos he changed his belief... & now baptized. Continue to keep him in pryer...

Then we started the film show only at 830 pm due to many reasons... anyway yup... there was huge crowd and some brought their own home benches in to have the best view and comfortable seats....

While the show is rolling... Mr sa.tan is of course at work too...

a few drunkens came and accuse us...

" how much are u getting paid for preaching openly ...?"
" how dare u changing our religion under the sky so openly?"

then came religious people too

" what time will u all be done? Its time for us to sing songs & chants in this temple..."
It will be late & therefore they just went ahead to sing & chant at the temple near us....we did nothing to stop them but the locals asked them to stop... " do not disturb us now... we want to watch this show...!!! Do it after the show...."

maoist ppl came too to disturb our co-worker who stays there... but nothing is stopping us... He oversees us.... He has His angels protecting us....

Mr sa.tan lost everything... he is down at our feet bcos of the victory won!!!

We started packing only at 1130pm and drove back to the hotel and reached at 1245 eating our dinner.... slept at 2am and woke up at 730 to hit the road back to capital....what an experience we all had...

This Holy Wk...

This year is not an exception for us here to have services from Mon to Fri. I was assigned to speak on Tue while Loong on Wed.

I felt very heavy hearted even as I prepared and shared.

The topic i name "The Cost". The two events according to the scholars to this week before J.C arrest happened on the very same day.

The two events were:

- The woman poured perfume on J.C
- Judas betrayed J.C for 30silver coins

According to the Gospel of John, he wrote and emphasize that the perfume is not just expensive but very expensive. (Scholars believed it cost 1 year's wages)Whereas, J.C's disciple sold him off for just 30 silver coins. (This is the cost of buying a slave in those days)

What a vast difference we see. Very expensive perfume = 1 year's wages & just 30silver coins.
So the 1st cost here I like to ask

" How much does J.C cost to us?"

We also can see the posture of these 2 characters here towards J.C

The Woman (believe to be Mary) poured the perfume on J.C - an act of servanthood and showed reverence towards J.C.

Judas, J.C's disciple, sold him off or betrayed him off for 30silver coins - betrayer, J.C is like a slave.

"What's our attitude towards J.C?"

All of us have expectation and we even brought in this attitude of demanding our expectation in our spiritual lives. Or some had expectations of J.C fulfilling our demands and therefore be part of the family. What happens if our expectations are not been answered immediately? We complaint. We loose hope. We feel discourage....etc

Come to the 2nd Cost

" The Cost of J.C life on the cross & the Cost of the Father
giving His only begotten Son to die"

Isn't this cost He paid for us enough?! What more do we demand from Him?!
What's the cost of J.C to us? The Cost of J.C death isn't enough to show that He loves us?

So we celebrate this season year after year, and then we continue to live our lives daily as if nothing happened to us. Is that true X'tianity ? Or what about celebrating Xmas too... 2 important seasons to us.... Is that being a believer??? NO!!!

Now we come to the 3rd Cost

"The Cost for being a disciple of J.C" - taking up the cross daily

This is not an easy cost to bear, J.C himself had a tough time carrying his cross... Being a believer here, we are laughed at, mocked at and even faces lots of persecution from our families and friends... some of you may have been kicked out of your village for believing in J.C. This cross is not easy to bear and what more clearly written that we are to carry it daily. J.C carried the heaviest cost & cross for us -mankind, so we can be reconciled back to the Father. J.C did it to glorify the Father. Can we too carry our cross daily to glorify the Father too?

Summary:
1) How much does J.C cost to us?
2) Isn't the cost of J.C death more than enough for us?
3) The cost of believing in J.C - carrying the cross daily

I hope this too speaks to anyone of you reading this blog... I hope is not too hush for u guys...
